Canada among 65 countries to cut aviation emissions

Oct. 7, 2016 - The United Nations' International Civil Aviation Organization voted yesterday to limit global warming emissions from international airline flights. Canada is one of 65 countries that has agreed to participate.

The agreement, which received overwhelming support within the organization, stipulates that airlines’ carbon emissions in the year 2020 will be the maximum allowed.
